Welcome!  My name is Deborah Breen, and this is my professional teaching portfolio.  Please explore each area of my career as a teacher, my growth as an on-going scholar, and my professional credentials and documentation. 

            I have spent seventeen years as a regular education teacher at the preschool, elementary and middle school levels. Most recently I have worked with students in a universal pre-kindergarten program through a community partner with the Elmira City School District.  I have spent three and a half years teaching fourth grade, and six years in inclusive middle school English language arts literacy.  My years of experience with regular and special education students at a wide variety of grade levels have refined my skills in behavior modification, classroom management, instructional strategies for diverse learners, team teaching, and motivating reluctant students to learn.

                My goal is to secure a permanent teaching position at the prek - grade 6 level for the 2015-2016 school year, and I hope to speak with you about a position soon.  Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio.
